How does CounterMeasures™ software work?
To collect data, CounterMeasures™ role-based survey module presents the proper only pertinate questions and a “tailor-made” assessment checklist. The surveys can be completed by inspectors or they can be use for self-assessments. Survey Screenshot

In the analysis module, surveys are analyzed; the effectiveness of each in-place “Countermeasure” is determined, and the software provides a comprehensive analysis of not only current vulnerability levels, but allows an analyst to determine where the greatest risk are and what is the most effective way to reduce them. Is CounterMeasures™ software available on a network, or is it a stand-alone product?
CounterMeasures™ is available in both networked and desktop configurations. Customers may use either version, or both versions together to provide analysts with even more flexibility. Additionally, data collection is available either by the free CounterMeasures™ survey-only software, or by using CounterMeasures™ Web Survey on a LAN or WWW. Because all versions of the data collection and analytical software are compatible, CounterMeasures™ software can be applied to any environment.

Does it maintain a history of the information for use in subsequent reviews /analysis?
Yes. The product retains analysis results from all assessments. This permits trend analysis and other result comparisons.

Are the Risk Analysis results / alternatives clearly defined in the output reports?
Yes. The risk analysis, which is exported into MS Word 6 and higher, includes all findings and recommendations, both graphically and in text. Also included are Annual Loss Expectancy (ALE) calculations, and prioritization of recommended countermeasures based on a "bang for the buck" value.

What type of documentation is available for CounterMeasures™? Does the product have an on-line help?
Technical documentation is available as both hard copy and on-line. Other documentation, which deals with how to use the software, is available in hard copy form. Context-sensitive help is available in all modules.

Is classroom training available for CounterMeasures™?
Yes. A two-day training course at our location is included in the price of the product. Also, training can be purchased separately as needed. All training is available at the client's site, provided the client pays travel expenses.

What support is available after purchasing?
Our support staff is available Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm EST. Our toll-free help line and email support is free for the first year after purchase of CounterMeasures™. Additional years of support are offered for a nominal fee.

What are the costs for: Installation, Training, Support and Product Maintenance?
Installation: Normally, there is no cost
for installation.
Training: Two days of training are included in the price of each copy of the software. Additional days can be purchased. Conversely, training costs are discounted when purchasing multiple copies of Countermeasures™.
Support: Support after the first year is 15% of the software purchase price. If needed, we allow support to lapse for a year or more then pick back up when the client needs to re-do a risk analysis.
Product Maintenance: Our support services include free updates and upgrades during the support period. We have a staff completely devoted to maintenance and improvement of CounterMeasures™ software.

What would be the cost for a corporate license?
Multiple copy and site license prices are negotiable. A significant discount off of the single copy price can be anticipated for a site license or multiple copies.

What platforms does CounterMeasures™ execute on? Are there any plans to expand to other platforms?
CounterMeasures™ operates on Windows 98, 2000, NT, and XP platforms, as well as on any Windows-based server software.
